Fareconnect.com celebrates a strong 2019, looks ahead to 2020

Fareconnect.com celebrates a strong 2019, looks ahead to 2020

A new website and a partnership with Uplift were among the announcements shared by Fareconnect.com’s annual conference, recently held in Winnipeg.

The host agency welcomed its home-based advisors to a gala dinner at the Met Restaurant in Winnipeg, along with a number of preferred suppliers.

During the gala, Fareconnect.com unveiled its revised website, which had been relaunched in time for the 2019 conference. The new site “was redesigned to put the agents first, making it easy for clients to find agents in their area and to promote agents with unique specialties or language abilities,” Fareconnect.com said in a release.

Uplift partnership

Fareconnect.com also announced that it has partnered with Uplift, a new program which allows clients to travel and now defer payment until later.

“I was so excited to hear that this was announced as so often we are told that people want to go on a vacation but just can’t afford the whole trip cost up front,” said veteran travel agent Jane Ostash. “Now people will be able to go on their bucket list trips or be able to grab those early booking bonuses by paying for the holiday in one go.”

Fareconnect.com also told attendees that the company has grown by 20 per cent year-over-year, with plans in the works to enable full support of this rising and continuous growth.

“This is something that is ingrained in our company’s DNA”, said Fareconnect.com CEO Rick Gaudet. “Everything we do is to better support and provide opportunities for our home-based agents – we understand home-based agents because we were home-based agents.”

Looking ahead to 2020

For Conference 2020, Fareconnect is partnering with Norwegian Cruise Line, taking their home-based agents and several preferred suppliers on a cruise from Vancouver to Victoria, San Francisco and Los Angeles next October, sailing on one of the line’s newest ships, the Norwegian Joy.

“This is really going to be an amazing year for our agents!” said Rick Gaudet, CEO of Fareconnect. “The ability to learn about the cruising industry while sailing aboard the Norwegian Joy is a great opportunity for agents to expand their business by adding cruising to their growing portfolio.”
