Travel Masters' first-ever agent conference a success

Travel Masters' first-ever agent conference a success

Travel Masters’ agents from across Western Canada recently took part in the host agency’s first-ever agent conference, where travel advisors took part in a number of workshops and supplier training sessions.

During the three-day conference, held at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, Travel Masters agents participated in business development workshops put on by the Travel Masters Support Team, which included topics such as time management, social media training, networking and the sales processes. There was also supplier training offered and the opportunity to further network with suppliers at a trade show. The agents also had an exclusive mini Globus tour of Vancouver and experienced FlyOver Canada.

As part of the conference, Travel Masters' agents agents also had an exclusive mini Globus tour of Vancouver.

One of the conference highlights was the presentation of the Travel Masters Impact Awards at a special ceremony held Sunday evening. Travel Masters annually honours its top performers in the following categories:

  • Tour Sales
  • Cruise Sales
  • Insurance Sales
  • GDS Air Sales
  • Air Canada Sales
  • Growth
  • Support Team Member of the Year

The Impact Award winners will be celebrated on an all-expense paid VIP trip to Lake Tahoe in May 2020.

"The theme of our first ever agent conference was Connect & Grow," said Travel Masters founder and CEO Neil McMahon. "We were excited to be able to bring our agents together so that they could connect with each other, our preferred suppliers and our support team. Everyone went home invigorated with lots of great ideas on how to grow both personally and professionally and we are looking forward to a highly successful 2020."

“I was so pleased that I made the decision to attend the first Travel Master conference," added Maureen Boa, a Travel Masters franchise partner. "It was a very well-organized event and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire time. The networking with other agents and wholesalers along with the various sessions were well worth attending. Thanks so much to Heather and Daina (of the Travel Masters support team) for the outstanding job of putting this all together!”
