Due to Transport Canada's recent closure of Canadian airspace to Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in Canada, Air Canada has taken measures to adjust its schedule through to April 30 to cover 98 per cent of its planned flying.
The following flights will be operated by Air Transat on behalf of Air Canada between March 20 and March 31, 2019:
Air Transat's terms and conditions of carriage will be applied to these flights, and baggage fees will be waived.
Keep in mind
Travellers beginning their journey at the Vancouver (YVR) or Montreal (YUL) airport must proceed directly to the Air Transat counters, where Air Canada staff will be ready to assist.
In Vancouver, proceed to counters 90 and 97. Self check-in service will not be available for either of these flights.
Travellers looking to connect onto Flight AC 301 or AC 302:
- At Vancouver (YVR) airport, from any international flight or a flight arriving from the U.S., you must collect your bags and check in at dedicated counters located within the transfer area.
- From any domestic flight, you must collect your bags and proceed to Air Transat check-in counters to complete your check-in.
If you are connecting from Flight AC 301 or AC 302 to another destination:
- Your bags will be through-checked to your destination if your onward connection is to another Air Canada, Air Canada Express or Air Canada Rouge flight.
- You must collect your bags and proceed to the appropriate check-in counters if you are connecting to a flight operated by any other airline.
