Air Transat offers new destinations from Vancouver

With the addition of all-new Airbus A321neoLRs to its fleet this winter, Air Transat will offer new destinations out of Vancouver. 

As of December, the carrier will become the sole company to fly direct from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale, Florida while also adding departures to Liberia and San Jose, Costa Rica, as well as a direct flight to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Renewed on-board experience 

Passengers from the Vancouver region who will be boarding the Airbus A321neoLR will now step into an entirely redesigned cabin, where comfort is paramount. Air Transat went over every detail of the cabin interior to ensure the best inflight experience possible.

Club Class, with its exclusive cabin and personalized and dedicated service, has been given a new look. Its 12 deep-blue natural leather seats, with their wider individual touch screens equipped with USB ports to charge electronic devices and state-of-the-art entertainment system, are even more ergonomic and have a leg rest for maximum comfort.

In Economy Class, the light-blue natural leather seats are wider than those of previous generations of Airbus, providing passengers with more personal space. They are equipped with larger individual touch screens and USB ports to charge electronic devices.

Greenest in its class 

The Airbus A321neoLR aligns with Air Transat’s continued efforts in sustainable tourism. 

Its engines have the lowest fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions (CO₂ and NO_X) in their class. And compared to previous generation Airbus aircraft, the Airbus A321neoLR generates 50 per cent less noise in the cabin and communities, produces about 5,000 fewer tonnes of CO₂ a year and lowers NO_X emissions—which contribute to smog and acid rain.
