In view of the novel coronavirus outbreak, and the subsequent drop in market demand, Cathay Pacific has reduced around 90 per cent of Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon flights into Mainland China.
In addition, the embattled carrier also announced “significant short-term reductions” – approximately 40 per cent of its capacity – across its network over the next two months.
The destinations that are subject to temporary suspension until March 28, 2020 are:
- China - Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan regions: Kaohsiung, Taichung and all Mainland China cities with the exception of Beijing, Shanghai Pudong, Chengdu and Xiamen
- The Americas: New York (Newark), Washington D.C.
- Asia: Kolkata, Seoul, Jeju, Busan, Clark, Davao, Niigata, Okinawa, Male
- Australasia: Adelaide
- Europe: Rome, Milan, London (Gatwick), Barcelona
- Middle East: Tel Aviv
