Dave Emery Takes Over Vancouver-based Travel Marketing Business

As reported earlier this week in PAXnewsWest, well known Vancouver-based travel industry figure Freddie Marsh, president of Freddie Marsh Travel Marketing (FMTM) announced that he is stepping down from FMTM to take on the role of BDM, B.C. for Playa Resorts.

David Emery, former sales manager at FMTM, is now at the helm of the company, which will be renamed David Emery Travel Marketing (DETM).

Michael Brown will join DETM as Sales Representative.  Brown has extensive experience in the Canadian hospitality and travel industries.  He formerly held management positions at Best Western Plus Sands Hotel, Coast Hotels & Resorts, and the Coast Plaza Hotel at Stanley Park in Vancouver.

Brown has also worked successfully for a number of Canadian airlines and tour operators in sales and marketing. DETM's clients include El Cid Resorts in Mazatlan, Riviera Maya and Cozumel,Honua Kai Resort & Spa in Maui, the Hilton Puerto Vallarta and Krystal Hotels & Resorts in Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa and Acapulco.
