Insight Vacations Introduces Global Brand Ambassador Lisa Ray

Insight Vacations introduced the company’s new global brand ambassador Lisa Ray at the India 2015 product launch at Sula restaurant in Vancouver on Thursday night.

The event, attended by travel professionals, media, and the consul general of India, introduced Bollywood actress and star of the Oscar-nominated film ‘Water’ Lisa Ray to the trade while showcasing the brand ambassador’s travel videos shot on location in India while on an Insight Vacations tour.

Ray gave an in-depth destination presentation that featured broadcast reporting from Insight’s Imperial Rajasthan tour.

Ray, a world traveller, made the distinction between ‘travelling’ and ‘touring’ and said that some of the best travelling she has done was while on her Insight Vacations India tour.

“It’s an overwhelmingly stunning destination...It was like a dream sequence,” Ray said. “The luxury coaches, the amazing hotels, the sights, sounds and colors of India- this is a tour for travellers.”

Ray said some of the highlights of the Imperial Rajasthan tour were visiting UNESCO sites, taking a jeep safari and camel ride in the desert, and shopping the colorful bazaars of Mumbai.

Insight Vacations president Cris David was on hand to make the announcement that the company is upgrading all of its India product to all-inclusive Gold for 2015.

“For 2015, the big announcement is that our entire India touring program is going to be upgraded to the Insight Gold format, which is all-inclusive with all meals and all sightseeing experiences and the finest hotels available in the destination,” he said.

David said that while India is a major bucket-list destination for many travellers, the destination can be a difficult sell for clients who have concerns about safety and security.

David said that Insight Vacations took these issues into consideration while designing the India Gold all-inclusive 2015 product, and that clients can be assured that they will experience the best of the destination’s offerings in comfort, safety and style while travelling on luxury coaches in small groups.

“We have wonderful new product we’re promoting for 2015 with a comprehensive range of six itineraries that showcase the culture, history, scenery and architecture of India,” David said.
