What does it mean to be a Canadian traveller?
Air Canada has unveiled a new video campaign that seeks to find the answer, with a special guest appearance by Sandra Oh, award-winning Canadian actress best known for her role on Grey's Anatomy, who attempts to spread her own message of "Canadian-ness", including hauling a poutine out of her purse as a peace offering for arguing siblings, and saying sorry, way too many times.
In international markets, the ad is one piece of a larger campaign positioning Air Canada as the alternative of choice to domestic airlines, and forms part of a wider strategy to add travellers to the airline’s growing global network of nearly 220 airports on six continents. The airline also aims to showcase the benefits of Sixth Freedom travel (the right to transport customers between two other countries via home airports) facilitated by its expansive network, and encourage international customers to use its Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver hubs when flying abroad.
