With ride apps such as Uber and Lyft now available in Vancouver, Vancouver International Airport is updating passengers with information about using the apps to travel to and from YVR.
Following approval from Vancouver city council, both Uber and Lyft began operations in the city on Saturday (Jan. 25), after years of discussion.
For passengers leaving YVR via ride app, drop offs at the airport are restricted to International Arrivals - Level 2, Domestic Arrivals - Level 2 and the South Terminal; similar to taxis and public drop-offs, there is no designated space for ride apps bringing passengers to the airport, however, drivers must find space within the permitted unloading areas on the curb on level 3.
The airport has provided an FAQ on the apps here.
