AmaWaterways has launched its 2019 preview brochure, introducing new features, activities and amenities onboard its expanded fleet.
The company is to add three new ships to its European fleet in 2019. AmaMagna will sail the Danube river, with capacity for 196 guests and a majority of staterooms 355 sq. ft. or larger; AmaMora, meanwhile, is the sister ship to AmaLea and AmaKristina, and will sail the Rhine river, while AmaDouro – sister to AmaVida – will join the company’s itineraries on the Douro River.
New onboard activities and amenities for 2019 will include the expansion of the Wellness Program, which allows guests to join group exercise activities, to most European ships; the Wine Cruise Program will also be enhanced, with 60 hosted Wine Cruises to be offered in 2019.
AmaWaterways’ land programs will feature pre-cruise land extensions in 2019 in Bilbao and San Sebastian, Spain, with a post-cruise option to be added in Rwanda, allowing guests to experience Kigali and Volcanoes National Park.
“Innovation is at the forefront of our business, and we’re always challenging our teams to think about ‘what’s next’ in terms of services, itineraries and ship design,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice-president and co-owner of AmaWaterways. “We can’t wait to see the fruits of our labour and innovation enjoyed by our friends, family and guests.”
