Edmonton Tourism, in partnership with DDB Canada and Tribal Worldwide, is a finalist for a national award for

Alongside major national brands, the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) has named Edmonton Tourism's website as one of three finalists in the category of digital, consumer services.

Launched in April 2014, was designed to show the originality of the visitor experience in Edmonton using visuals, highlighting authentic experiences and featuring stories to move potential visitors through the path to purchase and inspire extended stays.

Edmonton Tourism's website and the consumer brand, Edmonton Original Since Way Back, are inspired by Edmonton's grassroots culture, down-to-earth people, and the city itself: an urban centre in the heart of the wilderness.

On Dec. 5, will be awarded gold, silver or bronze at the 2014 CMA Awards Gala, the largest marketing awards event in the country.

Edmonton Tourism's website has also been recognized by Communication Arts as webpick of the week, and by Applied Arts magazine as the 2014 interactive media award winner in the category of entertainment, arts and tourism.
