In anticipation of its opening next month, Royal Caribbean International has opened up two more new and exciting venues at its Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Over the weekend, Splashaway Bay and Skipper's Grill restaurant, located close to the pier, were opened ahead of schedule.
Perfect Day at Coco Cay is a special concept dreamed up by RCI to create the ultimate experience for guests.
The activities and areas will be have been inaugurated from September 2018 and will continue into to the fall of 2019 and will accommodate 6,500 people at a time. Perfect Day at Coco Cay provides guests with dining options, sun loungers, and features amazing activities, like the water park with the highest water slide in North America, Daredevil's Peak, which reaches 135 feet.
Splashaway Bay is a complimentary aqua park for kids that shares the name of the aqua park available on select Royal Caribbean ships.
According to Royal Caribbean's blog, the company appears to have expanded its Voom internet access to the island, which means any guests who have purchased a Voom internet package for their initial cruise can enjoy internet once they reach the island.
Phase 1: open this May
According to the blog, the first phase of Perfect Day at CocoCay is officially scheduled to open in May with Thrill Waterpark, the Zip Line, Splashaway Bay aqua park, Up, Up and Away helium balloon, Captain Jack’s Galleon, Skipper’s Grill dining, Captain Jack’s dining, Chill Island, Chill Grill dining, and Oasis Lagoon freshwater pool slated to open.
South Beach, Coco Beach Club and the overwater cabanas will open in December 2019, but dates could change depending on the construction process.
Perfect Day at CocoCay is a $200 million upgrade to the cruise line's private island in the Bahamas that was first announced in March 2018.
