Today, Club Med launched the Club Med Quebec Charlevoix Facebook page asking users to choose their favourite pictogram that best depicts the Charlevoix region. Facebook users have the opportunity to evaluate two different options:
- Whale: embodying the unique aquatic life and picturesque ravines of the St. Lawrence River
- Caribou: symbolizing the aesthetic of the land and wildlife

The inspiration behind the pictograms stem from iconic Canadian symbols including maple trees, mountains and Quebec’s natural landscapes surrounding the resort and the St. Lawrence River. The chosen pictogram will represent both the region’s natural beauty, as well as the must-try experiences specific to the area including:
- Whale watching
- Waterfront skiing
- Ice fishing
- Mountain biking and more
With proximity to Quebec City, the new 4-Trident property will feature 302 rooms and include an Exclusive Collection space with premium suites and scenic views of the St Lawrence River. The resort will offer a highly curated experience for families, couples and groups spanning every season.
The new Facebook page will keep locals involved and up-to-date with the latest news and construction of Club Med’s first Canadian location.
“We knew immediately that Facebook would be the ideal platform to get our followers excited about this project and involved in the process, worldwide” says Carolyne Doyon, senior VP Canada and Mexico. “Crowdsourcing will help us select a logo that reflects the region and appeals to our existing and future clientele, while increasing the international awareness of our new resort. The Facebook poll opens Sept. 19 and runs through Sept. 24. Voting closes at 10 a.m. EST when the winning pictogram will be announced.
