PAX has learned exclusively that hotel giant Iberostar will open a new property on Playa Pesquero, near the seaside resort of Holguin.
Simply named Iberostar Holguin, the hotel will be operated in a binary way with both the principles of the StarPrestige concept for adults and a section for families.
The opening is scheduled this fall.
Rooms at Iberostar Holguin
638 rooms will be ready once construction wraps up. They will be scattered over six buildings of three floors each and will include the following categories:
- Standard with sea view
- StarPrestige Suites
- Junior Suites
- Presidential Suites with Sea View and Private Pool
- Lush tropical gardens will surround the common areas connecting the buildings.
What's there to do at Iberostar Holguin?
Iberostar Holguin will feature the first and most impressive children's water park in the area, in addition to four separate pools, including one with a swim-up bar.
A cigar bar, a music bar and even a water bar, as well as four specialized à la carte restaurants, an international buffet and a restaurant on the beach will be located on the property.
Room service will be available on request between 11:00 and 23:00.
Note that Wi-Fi will be available everywhere on the property, not just in the lobby, for an additional fee.
Many non-motorized water sports will be offered free of charge to guests, including the catamaran, the tennis court and the sports hall.
Finally, a Kids Club for ages 4-12 and a children's activity area will be available free of charge, while a nursery service for toddlers will be available for a fee.
