A new hotel comes to Waikiki

Shoreline Hotel Waikiki, a boutique hotel located in the heart of Waikiki, has unveiled its major property renovation, with design by BHDM Design, which seeks to blend nature and neon.

The redesign features a colourful update to the 135-room hotel, including a 26-foot high white "jungle wall" art piece in the lobby, custom furnishings, and an updated rooftop pool deck with commissioned mural artwork, along with new hotel programming for guests and locals

"We're excited to introduce a new hospitality experience to Waikiki, bringing elements of modern design and experiential touchpoints to our hotel for visitors and locals," said Alvida Surpia-Jones, general manager of Shoreline.

"After six years in Waikiki, we felt it was time to refresh the Shoreline's brand and amplify our offerings, amenities and programming to ensure that we continue to provide our guests an unforgettable experience."

New, trendy designs

The hotel's walls have been painted in bright colours, and unique decor like neon signs, geometric furnishings, and natural materials greets guests throughout.

Each room is redesigned with custom carpet, bedding, drapery, and furnishings, along with a "you are here" topographic map of the Hawaiian islands hanging over beds. The rooftop pool deck includes one-of-a-kind neon wall murals and mood lighting.

Entertainment and programming

Shoreline Hotel Waikiki, managed by Filament Hospitality, will offer a calendar of new hotel programming, including live music, a shave ice cart, pau hana "relax & refresh" hour, local activities, and maker markets featuring local artisans, with the popular Heavenly Island Lifestyle Restaurant serving a locally-sourced menu daily.

Steps away from beaches, restaurants, dining, and shopping, Shoreline Hotel Waikiki is situated one block from Waikiki Beach, Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, Luxury Row, and two blocks from The International Marketplace.
