
Alliance of Pioneer Travel Operators (APTO) has entered the market in Toronto, Canada.
APTO was founded by a group of global travel operators, in order to advocate reliability of partnering with the experienced global tour suppliers.
According to a press release, APTO states that "the trade is understood as a vital component of the overall buyer product experience mix and APTO's objective in raising product service standards for consumers’ ties by strengthening trade relations. APTO aims to introduce trade partners to qualitative practices cumulatively cultivated through APTO Members' expansive operational expertise, extending the buyers qualitative experience."
How can trade partners get involved?
APTO states that "the trade is understood as a vital component of the overall buyer product experience mix and APTO's objective in raising product service standards for consumers’ ties by strengthening trade relations.
Companies serving in the travel trade which do not meet qualification to become Full Members of APTO may apply for consideration to become APTO Allied Members.
They are recognized as APTO Allied Members and gain access to APTO data and research resources. Travel Agents would also have access to a database of Canadian Tour Wholesalers affiliated with APTO."
Headquartered in Toronto, the inaugural APTO Board of Directors will consist of operators from Iceland, Israel, Peru, as well operators from Africa, Western Europe and Asia, with Canadian travel industry veteran, Thanushka Nanayakkara, Chairing the APTO Board.
