The biggest and boldest marketing event in the Caribbean is gearing up this week in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Caribbean Travel Marketplace, which is hosted by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), welcomes hotel and destination representatives, wholesalers and tour operators, online travel agencies, MICE planners and worldwide travel media for several days of site inspections, meetings and pre-scheduled appointments.

Now in its 37th year, this year’s event is in Jamaica at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, and PAX is currently on location to bring you all the highlights.

“Jamaica is synonymous with exceptional hospitality, world renowned culture and incredible beauty. We look forward to continuing to offer our participants a high quality program to engage with industry peers and promote travel to our region,” CEO and Director General of CHTA Frank Comito said shortly after wrapping last year’s conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

This year’s event is being held in collaboration with the Jamaica Ministry of Tourism, the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association and the Jamaica Tourist Board.

PAX is staying at the gushingly gorgeous Excellence Oyster Bay, an adults-only waterfront resort located about a 30-minute drive from Sangster International Airport in a private peninsula.

We will be participating in a variety of activities leading up to and during Caribbean Travel Marketplace, starting with a series of hotel site inspections Monday morning (Jan. 28) in Negril.

Later in the week there will be opportunities for us to connect with local tourism officials and meet with delegates on the trade show’s floor.

And, yes, there may even be a White Party hosted by Sandals

Stay tuned on for all our in-depth coverage!

Caribbean Travel Marketplace runs until Feb. 1.
