PAX magazine July/August issue out now!

PAX magazine July/August issue out now!

With the majority of Canadians everywhere recently enjoying a long weekend for Canada Day, it's safe to say it finally feels like summer.

Whether you prefer a glass of lemonade by the pool, or having a cold one up at the cottage, summer is synonymous with relaxing and unwinding.

On that note, this is a friendly reminder that this is our last issue until September's special edition devoted entirely to the south. It's a big project, hence why even our journalists need a little break!

Inside your July/August  issue, you'll find plenty of great reads for those lazy summer days.

Don't miss these articles!

First up, on the front cover we've got Tourisme Montreal's CEO and president Yves Lalumière, who's been in the business for 30 years. Don't miss our one-on-one conversation with him, where he discusses everything from understanding the needs of today's travellers, to growth expectations and predictions for the upcoming decades.

Next, we dive headfirst into one of the hottest travel conversations in our special feature on page 18. Is eco-friendly travel possible? How can you reduce your carbon footprint when you travel, and should we be doing more to hold corporate conglomerates accountable? Our national editor in chief, Marie-Eve Vallières, explores all this and more.

Further in, our cruise expert Ming Tappin tackles the topic of solo cruising: is it getting better? And what's the deal with those single supplements, anyways? Don't miss her analysis on page 31.

Finally, if you can't hop on a plane this summer, our Destinations to Discover will surely make you feel like you've escaped, if only temporarily. Learn more about the charming Channel Islands, explore Taiwan's more natural side, and uncover the arts and culture scene in Martinique.

There's much more to see inside—happy reading, and from all of us at PAX, have a great summer!
