TravelBrands has announced that Tracy Poole, business development manager for British Columbia, TravelBrands, is retiring, following a 30-year career in the travel industry.
Speaking with PAX, Poole said:
"This industry has brought me so many great memories, I've made so many great friends, I've worked for absolutely amazing companies and seen some pretty fabulous places. It is so bittersweet right now, leaving an industry I love filled with people I love, respect and admire - but heading out to spend time with family and friends. When I was in travel college in 1986 my teacher told me I wouldn't make it in this business, I'm kind of glad he was wrong."
