AIC appoints Sarah Smith as new regional director of business development for MB, SK, & ON

AIC Hotel Group has announced the recent appointment of six carefully selected Business Development Managers to Regional Directors of Business Development (RDBD) positions, including Sarah Smith, a familiar face in the Ontario market.
As a regional director of business development, each person is responsible for mentoring current business development managers (BDMs), continuing to evolve AIC Hotel Group’s industry leading events, territory planning, and increasing revenue within the market. Regional Directors of Business Development will also be responsible for training new Business Development Managers on the field according to their territory.

“The introduction of this new role is a true testament to our unwavering loyalty to our travel partners,” said AIC Hotel Group’s vice president of field sales Ash Tembe. “We are 100 percent committed to continually improving and growing our resources for travel agents, which is the exact purpose of this department restructure.”

The new regional directors of business development are those BDM’s who have been part of the company for over six years and have continuously excelled professionally during their time as BDMs. This year, those BDM’s are:
- Ellyn Gerstel – NY
- Ashley Gibbs – DE, PA
- Yoly Bott – AK, Northern CA, OR, WA, WED
- Anne Mikesic – IL, IN, MO, WI
- Sarah Smith – ON, MB, SK (Canada)
- Carissa Holman – IA, KS, MN, ND, SD
All BDMs and RDBDs will continue to report directly to Ash Tembe.
