Name: Cindy Gaudet

Company :

Where do you live? Winnipeg, MB

How long have you been a travel agent? 11 years

What is your speciality? I think my number one specialty is independent flexible travel itineraries. Many people today have a “bucket list” which hold a list of dream vacations such as Hawaii, Europe, Asia and other far-off places. I thrive on putting these trips of a lifetime together, as it is so rewarding to make these trips a reality.

What is one trend you’ve noticed as of late? This past year, I have noticed experienced travellers taking bigger leaps of exploring the world and working on bucket list places. I find today's travellers more educated when they approach me about travel. The internet has opened the world for travellers, as they now want to experience new places that they may even not of heard of 10 or 20 years ago.

Of all the booking you’ve made, which itinerary/or travel package are you most proud of? I am proud of every booking! If I had to choose one, it would be two sisters that have started travelling the world together in their retirement. Just last month, they spent three weeks in Machu Picchu and the Amazon. The joy that travelling brings to these two ladies both inspires me and reminds me as to why I love being a travel agent. Making memories is what I am most proud of!

What is my number one piece of advice to give travel agents? Never say you don’t know an answer to a client, you always have support from peers or suppliers to help make their dream a reality.
