The major move from Disney means that more than 175 million straws and 13 million stirrers will be removed annually.

A committment to going green
According to the Disney Parks Blog, rethinking the ways in which plastic is used will carry over into guestrooms and cruise ships as well.
The idea is to invest more in re-fillable in-room ammenities, like shampoos and conditioners, and cut down on throw-away mini-bottles. By doing so, Disney says that single-use plastic consumption will be reduced by 80 per cent.
On Disney cruises, guests will have the option to buy reusable bags instead of accumulating plastic bags while shopping or dining.
