Outer Shores returning to Haida Gwaii next year

Outer Shores returning to Haida Gwaii next year

After a successful, sold-out 2019 season, Outer Shores Expeditions will return to Haida Gwaii in 2020 for another year of small-ship expedition travel.

Haida Gwaii is internationally recognized for its rich cultural heritage, endemic wildlife, colourful biodiversity, and protected landscape within Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, National Marine Conservation Area Reserve, and Haida Heritage Site (Gwaii Haanas), originally established in the late 1980s in an effort to protect more than 160 islands in the southern region of Haida Gwaii from the threat of deforestation. In 2018, a new Land-Sea-People Management Plan came into effect to protect Gwaii Haanas from mountaintop to seafloor.
