With a new format for their 2018/2019 Fun & Sun Product Launch, Transat continues its tour in Calgary at the Coast Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre. Travel agents were encouraged to visit the supplier booths and attend breakout sessions with select hotel partners to learn about the updates at the different resort brands for the upcoming season.

“Tonight, we are here talking about winter product for you and we're happy to now offer Europe this winter. We have London, Manchester, Faro and Glasgow with our new domestic flights via Toronto," said Dean Neville, sales manager Western Canada. "The domestic program run through the summer has done exceptionally well so we're pleased to continue to offer it this winter,” Neville highlights. “From Calgary, there will be three flights a week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, twice daily.”

Seamless connections from 15 gateways

With 15 Canadian gateways, travellers have access to connect to 34 south destinations and 27 Europe and Middle East destinations providing even more vacation options than ever before.

Gavin Jimenez, national accounts manager, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts provided updates and new changes within the brand's properties in Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica and their how their brands align with Transat's hotel collection brands.

“We can combine our brand guide with vacation experiences to really showcase each of our our amazing destinations,” Jiminez said.

The newest brand, Fantasia, just introduced last year in Punta Cana offers themed hotels specifically for families. “The Fantasia brand has been so successful, we wanted to include elements from our luxury collection and combine it with families and those looking for a fantasy experience. It's not just for kids, but perfect for those young at heart,” Jimenez continues.

Combining the hotel experiences as treasure, escape and family & friends experiences, with their Grand, Luxury, and Fantasia brands, agents can utilize these guidelines to help find the perfect vacation with something special at each one of their destinations.

Grand reopenings

Re-opening on Nov. 1, the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar (formerly Luxury Principe Ambar Blue) has been renovated and rebranded back to its original name. The adults only property will reflect warmer colours, open concepts with the addition of 144 swim up junior suites and new restaurants, gym, coffee shop and entertainment concepts added.

Grand Bahia Principe Aquamarine (formerly Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Green) has been updated and will be the first adults only in the Grand collection. As an escape experience, there will be more focus on pool activities, gastronomy, cooking classes, and mixology with a nightlife experience similar to a hotel in Las Vegas or Miami.
