The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) hosted 120 agents for cocktails, canapes and a learning event at Vancouver’s Shangri-La hotel last week.

“Canada continues to be the number one international market for Las Vegas," said Fernando Hurtado, the LVCVA’s international market manager. “Last year, Las Vegas received 1.44 million visitors from Canada, out of 42.2 million visitors worldwide. With 114 weekly flights from Canadian gateways, including 25 from Vancouver, it is very easy for your clients to visit Las Vegas.”

Las Vegas is a city that is continuously growing and reinventing itself with new attractions, resorts, restaurants, and activities. And it’s not all about gambling. Visitors looking for adrenaline based activities, nature-themed excursions, the gastronomic scene, world class shopping and entertainment can find it all here.

“And now we have the Golden Knights (NHL team), which brings a new reason for people to visit Vegas,” Hurtado added. “It is amazing how many sports fans will follow their teams to different cities. So now fans are coming to Vegas to watch their team play the Golden Knights, who by the way, are having a good season!” Looks like LVCVA is hopeful, as there was already a Stanley Cup prop at the photo booth.

LVCVA also rewards agents for sending clients to Las Vegas with Vegas Rewards. Agents can earn points for new bookings and redeem them for free merchandise, attraction and show tickets, and even room nights. Visit for more details.
